Amanah Foundation is an international nonprofit founded in 2025 and based in Fairfax, Virginia, dedicated to empowering Afghan youth and creating pathways to opportunity.
Through leadership development, education, mentorship, and partnerships with universities and global experts, we connect young people to the knowledge, networks, and opportunities they need to shape their futures, strengthen their communities, and contribute to a more hopeful world.
Mission
Amanah Foundation builds pathways to opportunity for young people whose potential exceeds the opportunities available to them. By connecting youth with education, leadership development, mentorship, institutions, and global networks, we create access where access is limited and help emerging leaders develop the skills, relationships, and confidence to shape their own futures and strengthen their communities.

Meet Our Founder
Afsana Ahmadi is an Afghan education advocate, a UN youth voice, and the founder of Amanah Foundation. A former member of the Afghan Girls Robotics Team (Afghan Dreamers), she has represented Afghan girls on international stages, including the United Nations LDC5 Conference, Doha Debate, and global youth forums, advocating for education and opportunity.
After leaving Afghanistan and continuing her studies in Government and International Politics in the United States, Afsana founded Amanah Foundation to expand access to education, mentorship, and advocacy for Afghan girls and families facing barriers to opportunity. Through Amanah, she has been working to amplify the voices of Afghan girls globally and build pathways for leadership, education, and empowerment.
